bearshs-thumbThe Big Bear High School cross-country team won their sixth consecutive De Anza League title this season and, as of Saturday, are one race closer to defending their state championship title. The boys of the Bears cross-country team competed in the CIF preliminaries at Mt. Sac on November 14 and, per Head Coach Jonathan Stiles, “It went really well. We finished second in our heat, so we’re easily moving on.” Coach Stiles tells KBHR that the boys ran together in a pack, conserving their energy for this coming Saturday’s CIF Championships, which they will compete in, given this past Saturday’s second place finish in their qualifying heat. The November 21 CIF Championships also take place at Mt. Sac and double as the qualifier for the state competition.
