Sugarloaf, CA — Earlier this week, we announced that six members of the Big Bear High School girls varsity softball team had been singled out for All DeAnza League honors. BBHS has since announced that six members of the Bears varsity baseball team have also been so honored. All DeAnza League distinctions include honorable mention for Hans Hausner, 2nd Team All League to Cody Ogg and Arik Ramirez, and 1st Team All League to Jesse Siep, Chris Thomas and Parker Bradley. Congratulations, Bears!
In other news from the high school, this Saturday is prom at Bear Mountain and Monday, June 7, is the final late start day of the school year for students of Big Bear High. Also on Monday, over 25 community organizations will recognize the Class of 2010 with the Local Scholarships for Seniors program to be held at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center; the public is invited to the 7pm program on the 7th.
