Nine Bears Football Players Named to All League Team

The Bears were 4-6 this season, and 2-2 in league.
Nine members of the Bears varsity football team were selected for De Anza League honors, having been named to the 2009 All League Team. Among those singled out are Zakk Planz for Honorable Mention; Aric Ramirez, Sergio Salinas, Paul Topoleski and Hans Hausner to 2nd Team honors; and Nick Newsome, Eddie Muro, Aaron Gibbons and Drew Waner to 1st Team All De Anza League honors on behalf of Big Bear High. Congratulations, Bears!

After graduating from BBHS, Catherine moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University. In her 20 years off the mountain, most recently in Manhattan Beach, Catherine's career has included publishing, broadcasting, public relations and public education; she served as KBHR's News Director from April 2007 to July 2010.
