Big Bear High School, home to both scholars and athletes, received special recognition last night, as two Bears teams were honored on the field at Angels stadium in Anaheim. Prior to the Los Angeles Angels/Detroit Tigers baseball game on April 22, CIF Academic Award Championships were bestowed upon both the Bears boys cross-county and wrestling teams—Big Bear High’s runners and wrestlers earned this distinction by having the highest overall grade point averages within CIF’s small schools division. Congratulations, Bears!

Members of the Bears cross-country and wrestling teams enjoyed an Angels game, in addition to the honor of being recognized for their academic achievements.
