If you’re looking to fuel up before the marathon, or just want to support local youth, the Big Bear Middle School cross-country running team will be hosting an all-you-can-eat spaghetti feast on Friday evening, from 6-8pm, in the new BBMS cafeteria (located on the corner of Big Bear Boulevard and Jeffries in Big Bear Lake). The special marathon menu includes pulmonary pasta, summit salad, high elevation garlic bread, and hydrating iced tea and lemonade at a cost of $10 per adult, $6 for students, and $5 for children 5 and under. The community, as well as all Run the Bear participants, are invited to the Friday, September 11 dinner, which will serve as a fundraiser for the middle school’s cross-country team. Questions can be directed to Coach Tracy Tokunaga at 725-7769.
