Big Bear Valley, CA — This weekend was to include the Winterfest Dance for Big Bear High School students but, given the likelihood of snow and concerns for students’ safe travel, Saturday’s dance has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 20 at Northwoods Resort. As is annual tradition at Our House, five senior boys were nominated by their classmates to be on the Winterfest Court, and those young men (deemed a really good group by ASB advisor Sue Reynolds) are Parker Bradley, Kevin Dietz, Jake Murie, Eddie Muro and Antonio Solis of the Class of 2010. In other BBHS news, high school students will have a late start day on Monday, February 8 and, that evening, Sonora Cantina will host a taco night fundraiser, from 5 to 9pm, in support of boys basketball. Next Friday, February 12 and then Monday, February 15, all Bear Valley Unified School District students will be on school holiday, in honor of Lincoln’s birthday and Presidents’ Day.
