BBHS Volleball Team To Wear Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness

Big Bear, Ca, October 12, 2010, 3:00pm – The Big Bear High School Volleyball Team is dedicating this Wednesday’s home volleyball game VS Twenty Nine Palms to breast cancer awareness! Players will wear pink ribbons, and all survivors and supporters will also be asked to wear pink! Head Coach Sonia Groover says, “Real bears wear red and PINK!” The game will start at 4:30pm at Big Bear High School.  Students with an ASB card, who are wearing pink, will get in to the game for only $1, and any cancer survivor will get in FREE.  This game is dedicated to Groovers mother who lost her battle to breast cancer in June 2005, and all cancer survivors in Big Bear.  Groover will pay for all cancer survivors’ admission, and will double the donation for the City of Hope, where her mother was treated for breast cancer.
