The Lady Bears of the Big Bear High School tennis team battled into the dark on Thursday evening, to come from behind and defeat 29 Palms in an overall game score of 81-74, thanks in part to clutch performances by Hanna Williamson and Paige Sutherland. Thursday’s win assures the girls tennis team at least a second place finish in De Anza League play. The Lady Bears’ final league match of the season, which is off the mountain, takes place against top ranked Yucca Valley tomorrow, November 3. De Anza League finals for the tennis team will be held this Thursday and Friday at Indian Wells.
