Six BBHS Softball Players Receive All-League Honors; High School Prom This Weekend

Sugarloaf, CA — The Lady Bears of the Big Bear High School varsity softball team wrapped their season after a first-round CIF playoff game and a second place title in the DeAnza League and, as just announced by the high school, six players have been singled out for league recognition. The DeAnza All-League honorees from BBHS softball are Erika Paiz for honorable mention, 2nd team recognition for Lauren Schour and Natalie Powell, and 1st team honors for Cara Burks, Cori Burks and Alisa Seaman. In other news from BBHS, students are in the midst of Spirit Week, in celebration of prom, to take place this Saturday at Bear Mountain (which follows the SAT test on Saturday morning). Next Monday, June 7, will be the final late start day of the school year for high school students. Graduation is Friday, June 18.
