For those who serve as caregivers for individuals with Alzheimer’s, the Big Bear Valley now has an Alzheimer’s support group, which meets on second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, with the first meeting of the year scheduled for tomorrow, January 12. The meetings are informal and, per organizer Mary Andresen, are geared especially for caregivers, rather than those suffering from Alzheimer’s. The group will occasionally have guest speakers at their twice-a-month meetings, and resources are also available. The support group meets at 1pm at the Big Bear Senior Center, and there is no fee for those who participate. For more information on tomorrow’s Alzheimer’s support group, call Mary at 585-7958.
