Airport District Meets for Monthly Meeting Today; Planning Commission and MWD Adjourn This Week’s Meetings

The Board of Directors for the Big Bear Airport District meet for their regular monthly meeting this afternoon at 2:30pm in the Airport Pilots Lounge, at the airport in Big Bear City. Today’s agenda will include the financial report from August’s Wings Over Big Bear Air Fair, which was the Valley’s largest event, having drawn over 7,000 attendees. The Airport Board had also planned to do a reorganization of Directors’ committee assignments, though this will instead be held for the January meeting, to take place on the first Wednesday of 2010. The Big Bear Airport District is now overseen by General Manager Pete Gwaltney, who assumed his position a month ago today (November 2); interim GM Dick Lightner wrapped his most recent round at the airport on November 7.
The City of Big Bear Lake’s Planning Commission, which generally meets on the first Wednesday of the month, has adjourned their afternoon meeting and will next convene on December 16.
The Big Bear Municipal Water District has also adjourned their regular meeting. Due to lack of a quorum, the Board of Directors for the MWD will next meet on December 17, rather than on Thursday, December 3.
