Big Bear Lake, CA, June 18, 2013 – MountainTop Strings is a youth orchestra from the San Bernardino Mountains under the direction of cellist Sharon Rizzo, with talented students from Crestline to Baldwin Lake. The ensemble is about to embark on a performance tour of Italy and Austria, but before they go, they’re offering a series of Bon Voyage concerts here at home.
Tonight at 7:00 p.m., their show “Vivaldi to Viva la Vida” will offer an eclectic mix of music at The Cave on Village Drive. Ticket prices are $5 Students, $10 Adults and $20 VIP Balcony Box Seats. Tickets are available at the door or online at addition, MountainTop Strings will present a free concert at Rim of the World High School on June 21 at 7:00 p.m.  The audience at “Sounds of Two Beloved Lands” can expect a mix of classical and American works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Copland and Joplin.

Finally, Calvary Chapel in Big Bear Lake will host “The Artistry of Strings,” a showcase of Baroque and multicultural composers comprising Dvorák, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and more. This free concert is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on June 24.
