Suspects plead “not guilty” to restaurant heist

Big Bear Lake, CA, May 9, 2013 – The District Attorney’s Office has officially filed felony robbery charges against suspects Justin Hernandez and Alyssa Aguilar in connection with the April 29 robbery at Taco Bell.

Hernandez is accused of  forcing his way into the fast food restaurant and stealing several hundred dollars from the cash drawers. He was apprehended after trying to exchange numerous small denomination bills for larger ones at Community Market in Big Bear City.

Aguilar, a Taco Bell employee at the time of the theft, is suspected of being a co-conspirator.

Hernandez and Aguilar have both pled “not guilty” to the criminal charges.
