Big Bear THRIVES! Gathering

Big Bear Lake, CA, March 23, 2013 – The next Big Bear THRIVES! gathering will be on Sunday, March 24th from 3:00 – 5:30 pm at the Big Bear Discovery Center.  “Urban farmer” Fran Wyman will give a presentation on Starting Indoors for a Great Outdoor Vegetable Garden.  Fran is well known as the co-founder of the Community Garden, and she’s an enthusiastic speaker with a phenomenal amount of information on a variety of ways to grow your own food. Big Bear THRIVES! is a movement to live in a socially conscious and environmentally sustainable way. Attendees at its free monthly gatherings are welcome to bring business cards and literature in alignment with this theme, and to participate in a light, healthy potluck. And starting this month, a raffle of items provided by Mountain Healing Arts Association members. The raffle is intended to support their new website. Big Bear THRIVES! is sponsored by the Mountain Healing Arts Association. For further information, contact Gina Weiss at (909) 585-7228.
