21 Year Old Resident Of Big Bear City Arrested On Charges of Felony DUI

Big Bear, Ca, July 27, 2011, 12:00pm - Last night motorists may have noticed that Big Bear Blvd was closed at Snow Summit for an auto accident involving two vehicles.  According to the Big Bear Sheriff’s Department 21 year old resident of Big Bear City Thomas Garcia was driving with a passenger in the vehicle when he struck 28 year old Jared Mason of San Diego.  According to the Sheriff’s Department Garcia was well over the legal blood alcohol limit.  The passenger in Garcia’s vehicle 53 year old Donna Sandavol of Big Bear City and Mason were both transported to Bear Valley Community Hospital.  Garcia was taken into custody on felony charges of driving under the influence, is currently on $100,000 bail, and has a court hearing scheduled for tomorrow.
