Snowshoe the Bear in the Village

The 2nd Annual Snowshoe the Bear launchs from the Village and runs into National Forest trails. Includes 5K, 10K and free kids race. Come join or watch the amateur snowshoeing race. Part of Open Air Big Bear events. For more info go online at snowshoethebear.com. 10K starts at 10 am, 5K starts at 10:15 am, kids race starts at noon. Raffle & Race awards presented from 1-2 pm.

In her 20 years off the mountain, most recently in Manhattan Beach, Catherine's career has included publishing, broadcasting, public relations and public education; she served as KBHR's News Director from April 2007 to July 2010.
