All School District Music Festival

The Big Bear High School Performing Arts Department hosts an All School District Music Festival over two evenings, and both to be held at the BBHS gym (on Maple Lane in Sugarloaf) at 7pm. On Tuesday, performances will include choral ensembles from the elementary schools, BBMS and BBHS; featured choirs are the Combined Elementary Chorus, the Big Bear Middle School Chorus, and the Big Bear High School Concert Choir. Wednesday night’s festival features all the instrumental ensembles of BVUSD schools, including Beginning Elementary Strings, the Steven G. Mihaylo Concert Orchestras and Chamber Strings, the Middle School Concert Band, and the Big Bear High School Concert Band and Jazz Band. Concerts are free to the public.

After graduating from BBHS, Catherine moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University. In her 20 years off the mountain, most recently in Manhattan Beach, Catherine's career has included publishing, broadcasting, public relations and public education; she served as KBHR's News Director from April 2007 to July 2010.
