National Get Outdoors Day

Saturday, June 12 is National Get Outdoors Day, and the San Bernardino National Forest Association encourages families to get outdoors and experience a variety of activities being offered at the Big Bear Discovery Center. The June 12 schedule of events runs from 9am to 9pm, and includes kayak tours at 9am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm, gold panning at 10am, a free map and compass course at noon, nature walks at 1 and 2pm, high flying rockets at 1pm, and campfire talks in the evening hours.
