Los Vaqueros de Las Montañas, Big Bear’s riding club formed in 1946, hosts a horse-riding gymkhana, and all are invited to view the activities at no charge. For those who wish to participate in the gymkhana, which includes pole bending, Texas barrels, speedball and keyhole, signups begin at 9am at the Los Vaqueros arena, located at the eastern-most end of Big Bear Boulevard (on the left) in Big Bear City. In her 20 years off the mountain, most recently in Manhattan Beach, Catherine's career has included publishing, broadcasting, public relations and public education; she served as KBHR's News Director from April 2007 to July 2010.
