Jim Hall Memorial May Trout Classic

The 28th annual Jim Hall Memorial May Trout Classic returns and, this year, is open to 500 entrants! Total cash purse, based on this number, is $7,700; rods and reels awarded to younger anglers. Registration forms available at Big Bear Sporting Goods, Big Bear Marina, the MWD offices and Holloways Marina; cost is $60 and includes tournament cap. Fishing tournament from 6am to 6pm Saturday, 6am to 2pm on Sunday. Awards ceremony to be held at Big Bear Convention Center at 3:30pm Sunday afternoon. Update: As of Thursday, May 13, some spots are still available! Registration forms still available at Big Bear Sporting Goods and Big Bear Marina; on Friday, May 14, register at tournament headquarters, at the MWD offices on Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake, from 9am to 9pm.
