The Friends of the Big Bear Library host “Evening in the Stacks” at the Big Bear Library, located on Garstin Drive in Big Bear Lake. This annual event was not held during last year’s library remodel, but returns this year with live entertainment from Steve Cassling and the Simply Voices Choir; there will also be programs on gardening, jewelry making, rare books, antique cars, and biking and trails. Local restaurants Copper Q, Sugar Pine Bakery, Sweet Basil and Jasper’s Smokehouse will present appetizers and desserts, as well as coffee and wine. Donations for the fundraising event are $15, and available at the library (checks only). For more info, call Ellen Nichols at 585-7161.
