The Bighorn Mountain Men celebrate their 16th annual rendezvous in Holcomb Valley September 4 – 6, with an all-camp potluck on Saturday. Mountain men will be in pre-1840 costume for the weekend-long event that includes muzzle-loading rifle shooting and archery compeitions at the Holcomb Valley Scout Ranch. After graduating from Big Bear High School, Catherine moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University. In her 20 years off the mountain, most recently in Manhattan Beach, Catherine's career included publishing, broadcasting, public relations and public eduction; she joined the KBHR team as News Director in April 2007.
