The Big Bear Book and Bean on Pine Knot Avenue in the Village hosts a book signing, to include 13-year-old mountaineer Jordan Romero and Katherine Blanc, author of “The Boy Who Conquered Everest: The Jordan Romero Story.” The book is a full-color scrapbook-style storybook (intended for readers ages 8-15) and includes nearly 200 photos from Team Jordan Romero’s climbing adventures. Big Bear’s Community Arts Theater Society presents Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center. Cast features Robin Field as Professor Harold Hill and Amanda Fisch as Marian; show is directed and choreographed by Karen Sargent Rachels. Ticket prices range from $21 to $27, with discounts offered to seniors and students, and for matinee and Wednesday performances.
