The seventh annual Pine Knot Village Art Walk, hosted by the Mountain and Desert Arts Association, features more than 40 artists, including many local favorites, who will exhibit their art as well as demonstrate live art techniques along the sidewalk on Pine Knot Avenue in the heart of the Village of Big Bear Lake. There is no admission for Art Walk, though reservations are recommended for nearby restaurants on Pine Knot and Village Drive during this popular event. For more information, visit artsmda.org.
Merchants of Moonshine Concert

The Big Bear Convention Center celebrates the Fourth of July weekend with an Independence Day Festival and a Saturday concert featuring the Merchants of Moonshine, a younger group of musicians revitalizing an older style of country music. Doors open at 6pm with DJ Joe Vonesh, concert begins at 7pm. Wyatt’s Cafe and Saloon will also be open during the event, to take place at the Convention Center on the corner of Big Bear Boulevard and Division at the eastern-most end of Big Bear Lake. Musical Tribute to America and Our Veterans

The 12th annual Tribute to America and Our Veterans will feature the Bear Valley Community Chorus directed by KJ Barto, with narration provided by Big Bear Lake City Manager Jeff Mathieu. This one-night-only event is sponsored by Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church and the Sunset Lions Club, and is held at Calvary Chapel, on the corner of Knickerbocker and Village Drive at the east end of the Village of Big Bear Lake. Big Bear’s Community Arts Theater Society presents Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center. Cast features Robin Field as Professor Harold Hill and Amanda Fisch as Marian; show is directed and choreographed by Karen Sargent Rachels. Ticket prices range from $21 to $27, with discounts offered to seniors and students, and for matinee and Wednesday performances.
